A month has passed and it is time for my monthly blog circle post.
You will remember that I am joining a group of very talented (actual, real-life) photographers and am trying to keep up and improve my photography skills. This last months theme was food photography. This may sound easy but its not! Fair dinkum, I have casually taken many photos of my food in restaurants with my iPhone and its looked great but trying to get a decent food shot with my big-girls’ camera was really hard! Sometimes the harder you try, the harder it is!
Dont forget to follow the link to Christi’s blog and see her fantastic food images….. http://mamasparrowphotography.blogspot.com/2013/03/food-southern-biscuits.html
To all those food bloggers out there…..kudos to you! Wow…what a lot of work….the cooking and taking photos and styling and editing and writing up recipes and blogging and just wow! A food blogger I am not but heres my attempt at Berry Friands….
The ingredients and prep:-
The making:-
The cooking:-
And ta-da, some of my children dont like slivered almonds :-
The proof…
They were delicious and I have made them again for school lunchboxes but they dont last longer than a few hours in my house!!

Ditto on all you said about food photography. This was a hard topic. I never got my prep photos done. These look delish and I’d love the recipe. One of my favorite food bloggers is Gina Kleinworth. She blogs more than just food but her food photos are always fabulous. I think her site is kleinworthandcompany.
Mmm, these look fabulous!
Yum! I too find food photography to be challenging. It is much easier for me to take pictures of people or nature!
Oh yum. I love baking, but I’m with you – being a food photographer/blogger is too much work!!
